What does a safe workplace look like, sound like and feel like? Workplace Safety Systems explores the components of Health and Safety Systems, Hazards and Controls, as well as the role government agencies play in regulating safety in the workplace.

If you’re interested in pursuing a university or college program with a primary focus in English, this course is designed for you. In English 30-1, you’ll explore a variety of mediums (poetry, graphic novel, visuals, short stories, fan fiction, Shakespearean play, film, and novel) to gain an understanding of how the English language is used to convey thoughts and emotions.
For the film study portion of
this course, you will be responsible for providing your own copy of the film
you wish to study; this film must be from the approved list of films provided.

Workplace Safety Practices is an expansion on the Workplace Safety Systems course. In this course you will explore hazards and safety practices for common workplace hazards. Topics include WHMIS, PPE, fire safety, electrical safety, confined space safety, basic ladder safety and emergency preparedness.

You gotta love math! If
you have a keen interest in and aptitude for mathematics and are intending to
pursue a post-secondary program with an intensive focus on math, this is the
course for you. Topics of study include a review of pre-calculus from Math
10-2, 20-1, and 30-1, limits, trigonometry, curve sketching, derivatives,
related rates, optimization, and integration.
Online Only: The online section is a non-calculator
course. The assignments, quizzes and exams have been designed so that a
calculator is not needed. The online course includes over 100 videos and inter actives that visually represent the mathematical concepts you’re studying.
There are also 45 review pages to assist you if you need a refresher on
concepts from previous math courses.

completed or be in the process of completing Mathematics 30-1. Credit for this course will only be applied
after credit for Mathematics 30-1 has been earned unless the pre-requisite
